Plan the installation

Dishwashers need an appropriate cabinet opening and compatible water, drain and electrical provisions. A replacement can still differ from the old appliance in dimensions, connection position and mounting requirements.

For an accurate quote

• Brand and full model number
• Opening width, height and depth
• Whether the old dishwasher is still installed
• Photos or a description of accessible water, drain and power connections

Before the visit

Clear the route to the kitchen and remove stored items beneath the sink. Keep the manufacturer’s installation instructions and supplied parts together. Do not pull out or disconnect an appliance just to take a photograph.

Connections and additional work

A new location, damaged shut-off valve, unsuitable electrical supply or cabinet changes needs separate assessment. Do not assume plumbing alterations or electrical work are included.

Common questions

Will the new dishwasher fit the old opening?

A similar advertised size does not establish fit. Compare the exact model’s installation requirements with the opening and allow the installer to assess connections.
