Installation scope, confirmed before your visit
The following items can form part of the agreed installation scope. Your written quote confirms what is included for your particular appliance and home.
- Checking the model, available opening and mounting requirements.
- Assessing the supporting wall and cabinet conditions.
- Mounting a compatible over-the-range unit with the correct hardware within the agreed scope.
- Reviewing the specified ventilation arrangement and existing suitable power connection.
Before installation day
- Send the exact model number and say whether it replaces an existing microwave.
- Confirm that the mounting hardware, template and any required trim kit are available.
- Describe the existing vent direction and cabinet opening.
- Mention tile, unusual wall surfaces, damaged cabinetry or limited overhead access.
Work that needs a separate assessment
Vent relocation, cabinet alterations and electrical changes are separate from appliance fitting. Built-in trim kits are model-specific. A countertop microwave should not be enclosed or mounted unless the manufacturer expressly permits the proposed setup.
Can the old mounting bracket be reused?
Only if the new model’s instructions specifically allow it and it is suitable. Keep the hardware supplied with your new microwave; compatibility is assessed before installation.
